Taking stunning photographs is not everyone’s art. Some people take stunning pictures and their everyday photographs manage to look stunning; like they managed to walk effortlessly out of a stock photo or a magazine. Some amongst us are not as fortunate because no matter how hard we try, our pictures just don’t turn out the way we imagine them to turn out. To make sure you look your best on the most important day of your life, we have compiled a list of tips that you can use to your advantage on your big day to look your absolute best.
Practice Your Poses
Practice your poses by picking up a few tips from Hollywood celebrities. Find the poses that work best for your physique and make your body look more toned and in shape. Especially perfect the signature shots that you are rooting for.
Smile
Smiling is so important. You must express how you are feeling with not just your face but also your eyes. Smiling always adds a beautiful and happy element to your look that is much warmer.
Makeup for You
Yes, we all love to go all out with makeup because it’s your wedding but you need to remind yourself to not go overboard. The best way to make sure that you’re on the right track is to have a trial makeup session and have it photographed to make sure it’s translating properly in pictures and doesn’t look too stark.
Stay Relaxed
Easier said than done because wedding jitters are real but here’s where self-control helps immensely. You must calm down and relax regardless of what is going on in your surroundings. Don’t worry about the background and focus on yourself because this day won’t come again so you must enjoy it.
Avoid the Double Chin
The double chin is the devil and it’s something literally everyone struggles with so try to actively avoid its cameo in your wedding photos by keeping your head lifted and elongating your neck thereby moving your head slightly forward.
Cheery Moments
It doesn’t hurt to let out a laugh in the middle of your shoot. There’s no need to be proper and uptight. Let loose and laugh freely because these moments capture the most beautifully.
Posture
We often tend to slouch and shrink up especially during the times when we are feeling particularly tense or nervous. Slouching is your worst enemy and will make you look like a potato in pictures. Consciously focus on your posture and make sure to stand up straight.
Blink 1,2,3
Many amongst us stress over blinking too much whilst taking photos. The best way to avoid that is to not stress over it. If your eyes are sensitive, try the simple count-to-three trick and open your eyes when the photographer says ready.
Whilst it’s acceptable to be photogenic on regular days, it’s not exactly something we want on our wedding day. Your wedding day is about you and you deserve to feel like a queen. Use these tips and look your absolute best.
